Lokin aakhan grehsth nun chad ke jehrha janglin jaave sant;
Sohne sohne kaprhe laah ke bhagven kaprhe pave sant. Sant hai oh jo laaye samaadhi dhooni jehrha ramaaye sant; Lokin kehan jo swaas charha ke bagal- samaadhi laaye sant. Ghar vich reh ke ghar nun paana santan di vadiyayi ey; Kahe avtar poore murshad ton main eh sojhi paayi ye. |

People think that a saint is the person, who renounces family life and goes to forests;
People think that a saint is the person who leaves aside his lovely garments and puts on saffron robes. People think that a saint is the person, who sits in trance and meditates by the side of fire; People think that a saint is the person, who holds his breath and sits in meditation with his eyes closed. But the distinction of the true saints is that they realize their spiritual Abode, while staying at home; Avtar says, I have understood this from the perfect True Master. |
Meaning
One doesn't become a saint by choosing saffron garments. People think that a saint is the person, who leaves family life and goes to forests. Or a person who leaves aside his lovely garments and puts on saffron robes. Or someone who sits in trance and meditates by the side of fire. People think that a saint is the person, who holds his breath and sits in meditation with his eyes closed. But true saints are the ones who realize their spiritual abode, while staying at home. Here Baba Avtar Singh ji says, I have understood this from the perfect True Master.
